The purpose of the Cost of Doing Business workgroup is to first identify those governing issues and policies that create financial barriers that impede the success of local small business operations, and then define a plan/process to address those policies within the local government. It is recognized that almost all policies created by a governing agency will have some level of impact on the financial success of a small business. The Cost of Doing Business workgroup will work pro-actively to recognize which issues most impact small businesses, and help communicate and create a fuller understanding of the issues to all parties involved, including parties within government and the local business community.
